Search Tab

The Search tab provides a way to explore the content of your topics and find matches to user-defined queries.

For example, users can search for “Quick Collect” and every topic that contains the words “Quick Collect” will be listed in the Search tab, similar to the way keywords are listed in the Index tab.  You can click on any topic from the list and it is displayed in the viewer.

Unlike an Index tab, which lists author-defined keywords (terms, synonyms, and cross-references), the Search tab lists words that are used within the content of topics.  To find a topic, users enter a word or phrase.  The Search tab displays every topic that contains the particular word or phrase.
