Home Delivery Service (*USA Only)

 Home Delivery is a service offered by Western Union to allow a customer to send money on a Western Union Prepaid Debit card to a receiver’s home or business via an overnight delivery shipping service handled by Federal Express (FedEx).

To Send a Home Delivery transaction

  1. From the Main Menu, click the Send Money button button or press the F5 key.

  1. From the Express Services Screen:

  • Choose the type of search and enter the information. Press Enter or Click the Search Button to get the results.

Note: If the customer does not have an account number and does not want to enroll, select Cancel (Esc).  For enrollment with or without a transaction, please see the instructions for Western Union Card Enrollment.

The Send Money Menu appears.

  1. From the Send Money Menu, click the Money Transfer button button or press the F5 key.

Notes: Overnight Home Delivery service is only available for U.S. to U.S. transactions.

  1. Select United States and click on the Next (Enter) button or press the Enter

The following table describes each field in the 2. Transaction Details tab.

Field

Description

Financial Information

Amount being sent and type of currency.

Using the information form the red U.S. Send form, complete the following fields.

Send Amount _ Type the dollar amount (maximum 10 numeric characters)

Note: Maximum dollar amount for Overnight Home Delivery is $950.00

If any invalid characters are typed in the Send Amount filed, a message appears advising you an invalid amount has been entered into the Send Amount field. Please check the amount and re-enter.

 Note: Overnight Home Delivery can not be used for send transactions going to Alaska,  Arizona, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands and U.S. Military bases.

Service

Select Home Delivery as the Service Type.

  • Home Delivery – Overnight Home Delivery service allows the consumer to send funds to the receiver securely via an overnight delivery service on a Western Union prepaid debit card. Funds arrive the next morning at the receivers’ home or business, where available.

If any Service Type is selected other than Home Delivery, pop-up appears.

• Offer Home Delivery service

• Click Yes radio button if consumer would like to use the service.

• Click No radio button to proceed with regular Send Money Transaction.

• Click Ok(Enter).

Receiver

Receiver Information:

• First/Last (default) – then type first and last name of person (maximum 39 alphanumeric characters)

• Business – N/A for Overnight Home Delivery

• Paternal/Maternal – then type first, paternal, and maternal names (maximum 39 alphanumeric characters each)

If Overnight Home Delivery is selected, the Receiver Information Pop-Up appears.  If a Western Union® Gold Card or Preferred Customer Card number was used, this information is automatically filled in.

Complete all fields on Pop-Up:

• Required: Street, City, Zip, Phone

• Optional: Apt./Suite, Mobile Phone, Email

• If delivering to a business, Business Name is required

Click the OK (Enter) button to proceed.

Click the Cancel (Esc) button to return to the 2. Transaction Details screen.

Sender

Sender Related Information.  If a Western Union Gold Card or Preferred Customer Card number was used, this information is automatically filled in.

• First / Last (default) – then type first and last name of person (maximum 39 alphanumeric characters)

• Business – then type name of company and attention (maximum 39 alphanumeric characters each)

• Paternal / Maternal – then type first, paternal, and maternal names (maximum 39 alphanumeric characters each)

Information related to the amount being sent.  These fields are filled in automatically and are not editable.

When a service is selected or information is entered in the Services/Info tab, an indicator displays in the group box identifying a particular service has been selected.

Additional Services (Alt-D)

 Message and Test Question series are not available for Overnight Home Delivery.
  1. Type the information in the 2. Transaction Details tab.
  2. Refer to the Collect Amount field on the right-hand side of the screen.  This is the total amount the consumer owes including any fees.
  3. Collect the funds from the consumer and place the money collected in a secure area.
  4. Select one of the following:

Return to the Main Menu.

When selected, a confirmation message dialog box appears: Cancel this transaction?

  • Cancel this transaction and return to the Main Menu.  Click the OK (Enter) button or press the Enter key.

  • Change to another Western Union Product. From the drop-down list, select the product. Click the OK (Enter) button or press the Enter key. The dialog box for the specific product appears.

Display the Agent Information dialog box.

Note: This option will be available depending on your configuration.

  1. Depending on what is configured in the Agent Configuration Utility, the following appears:

  • Click the Yes button to submit the transaction or the No button to cancel.
  1. Depending on your configuration, a dialog box will automatically appear with a fraud warning. Review the fraud warning and then type the amount collected in the Enter the total amount collected field.

  1. Click the OK (Enter) button to submit or the Cancel (Esc) button to cancel.

  2. The print instructions dialog box appears with the directions for printing the receipt.

Note: If checkless, the receipt will automatically print.

  1. Follow the instructions in the Print Instructions dialog box to print the transaction receipt.
  2. The 3. Finish tab appears. Click the Done (Enter) button to return to the Main Menu. The Main Menu appears.

Sender should provide the MTCN number from the receipt to the receiver. Receiver needs this number to activate the Western Union Prepaid Debit Card that arrives via the Overnight shipping delivery.
