Transaction Log

To process transaction log maintenance

  1. From the Main Menu, click the Tools (F4) button or press the F4 key.  The Tools/Admin Menu 1 of 2 screen appears.
  2. From the Tools/Admin Menu 1 of 2, click the Transaction Log button or press the F9 key.
    The Transaction Log Maintenance dialog box appears.

The following table describes the transactions.

Function

Description

View Transaction

When selected, the Transaction Log List appears.

Transaction Log List

Click the transaction, then select one of the following:

  • Click the Transaction Log (Esc) button or press the Esc key to return to the Transaction Log Maintenance dialog box.

  • Click the Print (Alt-P) button or press the Alt-P keys to print the Transaction Log.  The Agent Daily Cash Report and Paid Transactions Report for each day within the selected range prints.

  • Click the Export to File ( Alt-E) button or press the Alt-E keys to export the transaction to a file.  The Save dialog box appears, providing a default file name.  Leave the default name or type a different name and select Save.

  • Click the Select (Enter) button or press the Enter key to display the transaction for viewing.

Note: After clicking the Select (Enter) button, the View Transaction screen appears. This screen is for informational purposes only.

Select one of the following:

  • Click the Previous Record (Alt-R) button or press the Alt-R keys. (Enabled after viewing a second transaction).

  • Click the Adjustments (Alt-J) button or press the Alt-J keys to display the Manual Adjustments dialog box.

  • Click the Transaction Log List (Esc) button or press the Esc key to return to the Transaction Log List.

  • Click the Next Record (Alt-N) button or press the Alt-N keys to view the next transaction.

Add Transaction

When selected, the Transaction Type defaults to Agent Will Call Money Transfer.  Click the down arrow to the right of the Transaction Type field to select a different type, then select one of the following:

  • Cancel (Esc) to return to the Transaction Log Maintenance dialog box.

  • Next (Enter) to display the Add Transaction dialog box.

The following table describes each field within the Add Transaction dialog box.

Field

Description

Transaction Type

Describes the transaction type.

Financial Information

Sent Amount – after typing the Sent Amount, the field to the right displays the amount.

If the transaction type is Money Transfer Paid, the field displays Receive Amount.

Receiver/Cardholder Information

Receiver related information.

1.  Click the appropriate option button.

  • First / Last (default) – type first and last name of person (maximum 39 alphanumeric characters)

  • Business – type name of company and attention (maximum 39 alphanumeric characters each)

  • Paternal / Maternal – type first, paternal, and maternal names (maximum 39 alphanumeric characters each)

2.  Type remaining receiver information.

Transaction Information

  • MTCN Number (maximum 10 numeric characters)

  • Operator ID (ID of person adding transaction, maximum 4 numeric characters)

  • Date (date of new transaction)

  • Time (time transaction is being added)

  • Send Date (date new transaction is completed)

  • Country

  • Exchange Rate

  • Remarks (freeform remarks)

Check Information

This field is unavailable for all transaction types except Money Transfer Paid.

When the transaction type is Money Transfer Paid, type the check number, amount of payout, and whether or not the payout is cash.

Financial Information

Information related to the payout amount.  These fields are filled in automatically and are read-only.

  1. Sent Amount

  2. Fee

  3. Message Fee

  4. Delivery Fee

  5. Tax

  6. Collect Amount

Transaction Log (Esc)

Return to the Transaction Log Maintenance dialog box.

Submit (Enter)

Adds the transaction.  A message box appears with the statement: Transaction Added to Log File.

Click OK.
