PAYMENT CARD INDUSTRY (PCI) COMPLIANCE

May 20, 2018

3.3.1 Overview

In order for Western Union to comply with the PCI requirement of not storing our customers‟ Credit Card numbers in our system, Quick Collect / Quick Pay account numbers that match the format of a Credit Card number are no longer returned to the POS as part of the Receiver‟s information during a customer lookup. As a result of this, there was an enhancement made to not prompt our FLAs to confirm changes to the Receiver‟s information when changing the Quick Collect / Quick Pay account number from blank to a value.
Also, In order for Western Union to comply with the PCI requirement of not printing entire Credit Card numbers on receipts, default Crystal Reports receipts were enhanced to print a partial Quick Collect / Quick Pay account number. In addition, Prepaid / Swiftpay account numbers were removed from the default Crystal Reports receipts.

NOTES:

  1. Template receipts for US and Canada have already been updated to meet the PCI requirements, and
therefore are not covered in this document.
  2. Default Crystal Reports receipts for International have already been updated to meet the PCI requirements, and are part of the Translink 2009 Release 2 install.
  3. Customized Crystal Reports receipts for International are in the process of being updated by SSE to meet
the PCI requirements, and will be deployed according to the rollout plan defined by SSE.

3.3.3 Setup Consideration

3.3.3.1 Local Configuration

For Crystal Reports receipts, Agents must either use the updated default receipts that are part of the Translink 2009 Release 2 installs/upgrades (same names as existing default receipts, no Agent Config changes required), or obtain an update to their customized receipts from SSE.

Not applicable.
