Global Convenience

3.1.1 Overview

This enhanced feature expands upon the existing US Convenience functionality that allows our FLAs to search for our customers who don‟t have a WU Card (by Sender Name or Phone), and then have the screen painted with the customer‟s
information. Enhancements include search for a customer by Sender phone number for international, search for a customer by Sender e-mail, sort the list of Senders by Sender country = Agent country, enroll a Convenience customer in WU Card after customer search, and enroll in WU Card from the Transaction Details screen (including the ability to enter a pre-printed or pre-generated card number).

3.1.2 Functionality

3.1.2.1 Send Money – Express Services Screen

If the Advanced Sender Search configuration option is enabled, then a new Send Money Express Services screen is displayed with the following attributes:

  • Errcode-based text for instructions (i.e. in bold green).
  • A Template-based list of Search Types to display in a dropdown list. This is used to qualify the data entered into the search field. With the addition of the Search Type list, two new searches are now supported; search for a customer by Sender phone number for international, and search for a customer by Sender e-mail. The Search Type list is configurable by country, and can be changed via the Template table.

NOTES:

  1. E-mail search requires the Sender’s e-mail to be previously captured (either via Translink, WUCCSA, etc.).
  2. To capture Sender’s e-mail on Translink’s Transaction Details screen, an update to the Sender Template is
    required (if applicable).
  3. If a card is swiped, then the POS does not send the Search Type to the host, and the host will search for all
    possible matches.
  • Errcode-based text for “Important Information”. Note that if there is no “Important Information”, this part of the screen will be blank (including the exclamation point icon).
  • Errcode-based text for “Questions?”. Note that if there is no information for “Questions?”, this part of the screen will be blank (including the “i” icon).

3.1.2.2 Sender Selection List screen

If the Sender Country Sort configuration option is enabled, then the following enhancements will be available to our FLAs:

  • A column displaying the Sender Country.
  • Senders that have the same county as the Agent showing first in the list.

Note: In order to achieve this sort feature, the POS fires multiple lookup requests to the host. For Agents with slow connectivity, this enhancement may want to be tested for response time before deciding to leave Sender Country Sort enabled.

3.1.2.3 Transaction Details Screen (Send Money, Quick Collect / Quick Pay, and Direct to
Bank)

The Transaction Details screen has been enhanced as follows:

  • A checkbox was added to Enroll in WU Card Program. Selecting this checkbox will enroll the customer in the WU Card program with the transaction.
  • The Card Number field was modified to allow either swipe or entry of a pre-printed card or pre-generated card.
Note: If a WU Card Sender was selected during customer search, then the WU Card number would be displayed in the Card Number field as protected.
  • Errcode-based helper text was added that displays when focus is on the Card Number field.

Based on the same existing Agent configuration settings and host rules that enable WU Card enrollment for an Agent, the
Enroll in WU Card Program checkbox will be displayed during the following conditions:

  • Convenience Sender was selected during customer search.
  • Enroll was selected on the Express Services screen
  • Cancel was selected on the Express Services screen
  • Enroll New Sender is selected from the Sender Selection List screen.

    required (if applicable).

    possible matches.

Enrollment Details screen (if there is a single find). In either case, the Western Union Card Enrollment – Enrollment Details screen is painted with the Convenience Sender‟s details.

  • The Transaction Destination selection list was moved to the middle of the screen
  • The instructions about enrollment and the data entry field was moved to the bottom of the screen
